Tate Modern
A visit to London isn't complete without a trip to Tate Modern.
Britain's national museum of modern and contemporary art from around the world is housed in the former Bankside Power Station on the banks of the Thames. The awe-inspiring Turbine Hall runs the length of the entire building and you can see amazing work for free by artists such as Cézanne, Bonnard, Matisse, Picasso, Rothko, Dalí, Pollock, Warhol and Bourgeois.

Kirkaldy Testing Museum
Working equipment and exhibition about the machinery David Kirkaldy designed to experiment and test the strength of materials to uniform standards. The entrance is in Price's Street.

Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition and Tour
Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition and theatre tour offer a fascinating introduction to the world-famous Globe Theatre and life in Shakespeare's London.

Discover Elizabethan Bankside - the city of London's playground, see a sword-fighting display, find out how actors are dressed in handmade costumes and take a tour of todays working theatre - brought vividly to life by one of our story-teller guides. Theatre performances take place from May to September. The tour is available all year.

Rose Theatre Exhibition
Exhibition on the site of Bankside's first theatre; the place where Shakespeare learned his craft. The site was discovered by Museum of London archaeologists in 1989. Guided tours of the site are offered by Shakespeare's Globe.

Jerwood Space
With an emphasis on young and emerging artists, this striking 2,600 sq-ft exhibition space focuses on Jerwood Visual Arts, complemented by a regular showcase of new work in the Café, the Art Walls in the Courtyard and Don Brown’s eponymous sculpture overlooking the Glasshouse.

Menier Chocolate Factory
Built in the 1870's to house a chocolate factory, this historical building has now been converted into a leading arts complex which includes a gallery, restaurant, theatre and rehearsal space.

Vinopolis

Menier Gallery
The Menier Gallery, housed on 2 floors of the historic Menier Chocolate Factory, offers a dramatic space in which to view and exhibit works of art and design. The gallery shows a wide variety of work including painting, photography, sculpture, architecture, film and illustration.

The gallery @ Oxo is a bright, contemporary riverside space in Oxo Tower Wharf, with regularly changing exhibitions showcasing the best in cutting-edge photography, art, design and architecture.

Clink Prison Museum
Step inside the world's most notorious medieval prison. The Clink Prison Museum is situated on the site of the original Clink Prison. Enjoy hands-on experience of torture devices and explore a day in the life of a medieval prisoner.

Displays of written and art history describe the Prison and the incredible historical events that took place in Bankside including plots against the crown and the Mayflower.

St Paul's Cathedral
Step inside St Paul’s and you can enjoy the cathedral's awe-inspiring interior, and uncover fascinating stories about its history.

Visitors can try out the acoustic quirks of the Whispering Gallery, climb to the Golden Gallery and enjoy breathtaking views across London, or take a moment for reflection and contemplation.

At St Paul’s we begin and end every day with prayer. The world-famous St Paul’s Cathedral Choir usually sing Evensong at 5pm. There is no charge to attend any of the daily services and all are welcome to attend. St Dunstan's Chapel is also set aside for private prayer and is free of charge.
